No strict punishment for false cases

It was really shocking to see the news in the media today.

Court let the false accuser go very easily without giving any punishment. Various courts have mentioned that time has come now that women lodging false cases are to be punished. Still if this scenario continues it definitely will become mockery of law and justice.

But it has seen that courts are not taking any strict action against such women. It will definitely motivate those who files false cases as no punishment is there. A rape case FIR is immediately proceeded by arrests and trials in the court nowadays. Imagine how much pain the accused that is innocent has to pass through the long pending trials in our courts where pendency is 87.5% for cases of Crime against women as per NCRB data 2014.
